About FJ

My name is Fernando J. Fernandez, but people call me FJ. I have no fancy degree in art although I do attend Google Search and YouTube University often for tips, tricks, and references.

My Pixel Art/Animation journey started at the Mugen Fighter’s Guild in 2006. There I learned about pixel art and made connections to learn animation as well. Because I refused to do any frankenspriting and work on low res sprites I took on doing High Res Sprites. Worked on Mel Masters but never released it. I still have the files.

Fast forward years later I ran into a post made by Joe Granato on a Facebook group about Mystic Searches. We talked, and thats how I got into 8 bit pixel art. And the rest well, im still here. Trust me, my 8 bit art sucked when I started and I am still learning.

I’m a gamer at heart so my knowledge ranges from Nes, Snes, Genesis, Neo Geo, N64 Sega Saturn to PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, Switch and many more. I also own a lot of these systems and their games that I go back and forth to either refresh my memory and or learn from.

I mainly enjoy RPGs (strategy, turn base, and action) but I also love action and horror games as well. A little fighters and shooters as well.

My goal  to release a game for each system (not all) including neo geo. Nes will be the first one. Currently working on Byte-Off II project called, “Chaos Between Realms,” to be released for the NES.
